Established in 2011, That’s What She Said Magazine (‘TWSS’) is an award-winning online and print publication, offering a creative and vibrant platform for the University’s finest intersectional feminist talent to discuss the issues and topics that matter most through articles, poetry, photography, art and more.
Our team is made up of students at the University of Bristol and we welcome contributions from students of the University past and present. Our magazine aims to platform marginalised voices and foster a supportive community on campus. We are always looking for interesting pitches for our online magazine, and also frequently commission artwork and written pieces for our magazine on our Instagram, and our WhatsApp group. We encourage anyone who wants to share their creativity to respond – no experience is necessary!
We regularly host events including pub quizzes, launch events, and writer’s rooms. Signing up for TWSS membership will give you discounts on these events, and on our print magazines.
Our work is rooted in inclusion; we recognise intersectionality at the core of the modern feminist movement. At a time when the rights and safety of marginalised communities are under threat, we want to reaffirm our commitment to making That’s What She Said a space where all identities are respected and uplifted.
If you’d like to contribute or just want to find out more drop us an email at twss.magazine@gmail.com.
