“Happy International Womxn’s day! My paintings aim to explore the fluidity and diversity in gender expression as I am interested in what people do with gender rather than the obsession with how people fit into categories. Each androgynous face has its own personality and not every facial feature is present to signify that gender can be playful and explored in lots of ways. Today we should both celebrate and remember all the womxn and people around the world who experience gender-based oppression every day.”
