Get to know another fabulous TWSS illustrator, Kate Dickinson
Kate Dickinson is a third year English student who has spent the last two years getting procrastination down to a fine art. She illustrated the Women’s Equality Party article and all of the articles in collaboration with the Howard League.
Why did you want to get involved with TWSS?
I knew it would be full of articles that I would really be interested in. It’s also quite unusual for a magazine to put so much of a focus on illustrations, so it’s a really nice thing to be a part of in that respect.
How would you describe your artistic style?
My style tends towards detailed ink line drawings (stemming from years of biro doodling in lessons and lectures). I draw anything and everything, though I’d most love to illustrate a book of poems or short stories.

Hi Kate, it’s Mrs Overbury from Pates here. I am currently putting together a display of ex students who have gone on to pursue their artistic dreams and your name came up of course. I love your new stuff and its fabulous to see you are still drawing with all the confidence you already had when you were here. Please can you spare a couple of minutes to write a paragraph for me saying what you are up to, what you plans are and whether Art A level at Pate’s has helped you on your way.
Many thanks,
Mrs O.
